Mahindra & Mahindra has officially expanded its electric vehicle lineup in India with the launch of the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, an all-electric version of its popular compact SUV. Aimed at urban buyers and first-time EV customers, the XUV 3XO EV combines modern styling, competitive pricing, and a feature-rich cabin, positioning itself as a strong contender in the fast-growing compact electric SUV segment.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is available in two variants – AX5 and AX7L. Prices start at ₹13.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the AX5, while the top-end AX7L is priced at ₹14.96 lakh (ex-showroom). With this pricing, Mahindra is clearly targeting value-conscious buyers who want advanced technology and safety features without stepping into the higher price brackets of premium electric SUVs.
Under the hood, both variants are powered by a 39.4kWh battery pack paired with a high-output electric motor. Mahindra claims a real-world driving range of up to 285 km on a single charge, making the XUV 3XO EV suitable for daily city commutes as well as short inter-city trips. Performance is another highlight, with strong instant torque delivery ensuring quick acceleration and smooth driving in traffic. The EV also supports DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 50 minutes, while home charging options are available for overnight convenience.
In terms of features, the AX5 base variant comes well-equipped. It includes dual 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, a single-pane sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start, wireless phone charging, rear AC vents, and connected car technology with voice assistant support. On the safety front, Mahindra offers six airbags, ESP, TPMS, cruise control, and electronic parking brake, making the base variant a solid package in its segment.
The AX7L top variant builds upon this foundation with a more premium and tech-focused approach. It adds a panoramic skyroof, leatherette upholstery, soft-touch interior elements, larger alloy wheels, and a premium branded sound system. Safety and driver assistance are also enhanced with Level-2 ADAS, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, and forward collision warning. A 360-degree camera system and front parking assist further improve ease of driving and parking in crowded urban environments.
Mahindra is offering the XUV 3XO EV in multiple exterior colour options, ranging from classic shades like white and black to more vibrant and youthful tones, allowing buyers to choose a look that suits their personality. While exact colour availability may vary by variant and region, the palette is designed to appeal to a wide audience.
As for availability, customer deliveries are expected to begin from February 2026, with bookings already open at Mahindra dealerships and online platforms. With its competitive pricing, practical range, and feature-loaded variants, the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV aims to strengthen the brand’s position in India’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle market and attract buyers looking to make a smooth transition to electric mobility.
